I’m a big poker player but was making the mistake of only playing when I went to the casinos.  Granted, I live near a great casino so I could go there all the time.  But, when you think about it, it’s probably a smart idea to get in some practice play outside the casino so you don’t have to get the rust out or learn the hard way with big money on the table.

So, I got the idea to try out the online casinos and see what they had to offer.  Turns out, online gambling is a great way to get in needed practice for the live tables.  First, online casinos offer free poker tables or real money tables.  So, when I want to try out a new strategy or skill I heard about, I can log on to the free poker tables and not worry about losing money while I figure things out.  And, after I get comfortable, I can try it out at the real money tables to see how things go.  It’s really a great way to learn.

Also, poker is really popular online, so whenever you get on there are tons of people playing.  Not only is it good to play against different people, but you can also pick up some great tips from them.  Online gamblers have a reputation for being pretty outgoing.

This strategy has really improved my winnings at the live tables.  I highly suggest it to any poker players out there.  After all, as in everything else, practice is the only way to get better.
